Google doodle celebrates actor Rosy Afsari’s 73rd birth anniversary

National award-winning actor, Rosy Afsari, also known as Rosy Samad, was honoured with a Google doodle commemmorating her 73^rd birth anniversary yesterday.

Rosy Afsari acted in more than 200 Bengali films, along with 25 Urdu films. She was awarded the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in its first ever ceremony in 1975, for her work in the film Lathial, followed by many more accolades in the coming years.

Rosy Afsari passed away on March 9, 2007.
