Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is the first American man to surpass 200 million Instagram followers.

In other platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, however, Johnson has more than 300 million followers.

He posted a video to commemorate the accomplishment.

 Johnson humbly thanked his fans, saying, "Thank you for giving me the space to speak my truth. You have my word, I'll always do my best to speak my truth with dignity, respect, empathy and gratitude."

Football star Christiano Ronaldo currently holds the world record of the biggest Instagram following in the world at 238 million followers.

In other news, Dwayne Johnson's autobiographical sitcom, "Young Rock", is scheduled for release on NBC next year.
