Bangladeshi artistes awarded in India

Tele Cine Society (TCS) awarded Bangladeshi diva Jaya Ahsan with the Tele Cine Award 2019 for Best Actress recently. She received the accolade for the Kaushik Ganguly directorial, Bijoya.

Hosted by Debashish Biswas, the ceremony organised by TCS to honour artistes from both the Bengals, was held at the Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata.

Other prominent Bangladeshi artistes including the likes of Chanchal Chowdhury, Zakia Bari Mamo, SI Tutul and Ankhi Alamgir were also honoured at the 18th installment of the Tele Cine Awards. Veteran actor Faruk Ahmed won the Lifetime Achievement Award for his immense contributions to the film industry. Earlier, Bangladeshi actors Nayak Raj Razzak and Babita were also presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
