Bhabna's cinematic ambitions
Animesh Aich's Voyonkor Sundor was screened on June 28 at the Bangladesh Film Festival 2018 in Kolkata's Nandan West Bengal Film Centre. Director Animesh Aich and Ashna Habib Bhabna, the film's female lead, were present at the event. “I am happy that so many people had the opportunity to watch our film Voyonkor Sundor. More festivals like this should be organised so that our films can reach a wider audience.” says Bhabna. She further adds that overall, working in Voyonkor Sundor with Parambata Chatterjee was a wonderful experience. “Parambrata Chatterjee was great to work with. I have been friends with Animesh for a while. I have worked with him in many tele-fictions as well. We have a good rapport with one another,” she says.
After starring in Voyonkor Sundor, Bhabna is quite ambitious about the type of cinema she wants to work on. Even though she is first and foremost a Bangladeshi artiste, Bhabna says that she will never turn down any good film offers from the industry of Kolkata. “I would like to work with the likes of directors Aparna Sen and Kaushik Ganguly. I would like to share screen space with Prosenjit Chatterjee and Swastika Mukherjee. I am a huge fan of all of them.” On the other hand, Bhabna is also full of praise for Indian actor Jeet and popular Bangladeshi actor Jaya Ahsan. Bhabna further says that now, she will only do projects that she really likes. She hopes to reach greater heights in the world of cinema.
