Arms, ammo recovered in Ctg

Rapid Action Battalion arrested two persons with a sub-machine gun, a light gun and 61 cartridges from Raozan upazila of Chittagong yesterday afternoon.
On information a Rab-7 team arrested Md Abbas, a listed criminal and Md Belal of the upazila's Boro Thakur Para village.
They were involved in kidnapping for a long time, said Rab.
Meanwhile, Halishahar police recovered two grenades and 860 bullets in an abandoned condition from an under-construction building in Halishar area of Chittagong city yesterday.
The arms and ammunitions might have been kept under the soil during the War of Liberation in 1971, said police, adding, all of them are now out of order.
