Adilur gets Kennedy HR award

Odhikar Secretary Adilur Rahman Khan was presented the 2014 Robert F Kennedy Human Rights Award by Robert F Kennedy's wife Ethel Kennedy in a ceremony in Capitol Hill in Washington DC on Thursday.
The Robert F Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights (RFK Center) presents the annual award.
A press release yesterday said the award recognises Adilur's courageous work uncovering the most serious human rights violations in Bangladesh.
RFK Center President Kerry Kennedy said, “Robert Kennedy would have admired Adil's courage and persistence in documenting his government's complicity in a wide range of human rights abuses.”
