Activation programme ends in capital

Activation programme of The Daily Star-Grameenphone "IGNITE", a science competition for school students, ended yesterday in the capital.
The event was held at three venues -- Scholastica School, Mastermind School, and SOS Hermann Gmeiner School and College.
Along with students of the host schools, students of Mirpur Girl's Ideal Laboratory Institute, Monipur High Schooland College, Shaheed Bir Uttam Anwar Girls School and College, Adamjee Cantonment Public School, Sunbeams school, Aga Khan School, Rajuk Uttara Ideal High School and DPS STS School attended the programme.
IGNITE, a joint initiative of Grameenphone and The Daily Star, was initiated to inspire students of class VI to X towards science education through different projects, competition and activities.
With the slogan “Science for the Internet Generation,” the competition will be held in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions. Students of these divisions can register for the competition at www.ignite-bd.com.
The last date of registration for this competition is 30th April, 2014.
