Abducted UP member found dead in Comilla

A union parishad member who was abducted from his house on Saturday was found dead near Laxmipur bridge in Chouddagram upazila yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Nurul Alam,40, son of Shamsul Alam of Dekra village.
Family sources said coming in a microbus some masked miscreants picked up Nurul Alma from the house early Saturday morning.
Officer-in-charge of chouddagram PS Uttam Kumer Chakravarty said after getting complaints they launched drive in different places in search of Alam and found his body lying under the bridge yesterday morning.
The body bore a few marks of injury on its head, legs and hands, he said.
Later it was sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police said, Nurul Alam was wanted in several cases including one for murder.
