6 held over Mymensingh four-murder

Detectives today detained six people including two women suspecting their involvement in the gruesome murder of four people of a family in Mymensingh.
Detective Branch of police (BD) picked up Abdul Baten, Hafizur Rahman, Sohel and Hosna from Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh while Rafiqul Islam and Jyosna from Netrokona, said Mazedur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Mymensingh DB police.
“They will be taken for interrogation,” The OC said.
A Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal leader, his wife and their two minor daughters were found dead at their house at Lobonkotha village in Habirbari union of Bhaluka yesterday.

The deceased are Rafiqul Islam Bachchu, 35, general secretary of Habirbari union unit of Sramik Dal, his wife Parul Akhtar, 28, and two daughters -- Jiniya Akhtar, 6, and one-year-old Riva Akhtar.
Bachchu and Parul were stabbed to death while their two daughters were strangled, locals mentioned.
The bodies were kept at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue till this evening, police said.
Bachchu’s father Wares Ali filed a case with Bhaluka Police Station accusing four persons Tuesday night. Police however did not disclose the names of the accused.
