28kg gold ornaments seized in Cox's Bazar
Joint forces seized around 28 kilogrammes of gold ornaments from a house in Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar early today.
They also detained the house owner Nando Dulal Mohajon and his two sons for keeping such valuables under their possession illegally, reports our Cox's Bazar correspondent quoting Lt Col Saiful Alam, commander of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 17 Battalion.
On information, the joint forces conducted the raid in the house at Siringa Hindupara in the municipal area at about 12:00am and seized the gold ornaments, the BGB official said.
Meanwhile, the detained, Nando, claimed himself as a gold businessman. He lends money to other businessmen keeping such valuables under his possession as security in return, our correspondent said quoting Nando Dulal as saying.
