Present govt gives declaration to 65 dailies, JS told
State Minister for Youth and Sports Fazlur Rahman on behalf of Information Minister Tariqul Islam yesterday told the Jatiya Sangsad that the present government has given declaration to 65 dailies so far.
Replying to a question from Engineer Shamsuddin Ahmed (Mymensingh-6), moved by Habibul Islam Habib of Satkhira-1, he said out of the total new dailies, 43 have been publishing from the capital while the rest 22 from different districts.
The dailies of Dhaka received new deceleration under the alliance government are: 1. Daily News Line (English), 2. Ekushey Bani, 3. Liberation, 4. Prothan Barta, 5. The News Today (English), 6. Nabo Jiban, 7. Arthanitir Kagoj, 8. Diner Alo, 9. Alor Jagat, 10. Ekushey Sangbad, 11. The Bangladesh Today (English), 12. Sonar Alo, 13. Pathajatra, 14. Nabobarta, 15. Khola Bazar, 16. Unnayan Barta, 17. The New Age (English), 18. Barta Swarani, 19. Ajker Padma, 20. Protham Kagoj, 21. Ushar Bani, 22. Naya Satabdi, 23. Amar Kagoj, 24. Alor Barta, 25. Fulki , 26. Nagarik, 27. Prothom Bhor, 28. Dhaka Report, 29. Dhaka, 30. Desh Barta, 31. Gono Tadanta, 32. Matrichhya, 33. Anupama, 34. Crime News, 35. Manobik Barta, 36. Ajker Jibon, 37. Aparadh Kantha, 38. Muktamat, 39. The dailies received declaration from different districts are:Ajker Janata from Gazipur, Dainik Al-Ajan from Manikganj, Soja Sapta, Ajker Janmobhumi and Sacheton from Narayanganj, Janatar Kanthaswar and Ajker Khabor from Mymensingh, Rudra Barta from Sariatpur, Tadanta Protibedon from Rajbari, Chalar Path from Brahmanbaria, Shachitra Moitri from Bandarban, Laksmipurer Dak from Lakkhipur, Juger Barta from Satkhira, Desh Thathya from Kushtia, Nutan Probhat from Rajshahi, Uttar Kon and Dainik Bogra from Bogra, Jandesh from Natore, Dinapur Barta and Manob Barta from Dinajpur, Chandtara from Sirajganj and Hobiganj Express from Hobiganj.
Replying to another question from Begum Khadija Amin (Netrokona-3) he said there are 496 dailies in the country including 198 have been publishing from Dhaka.
