Woman security officer withdrawn from Ctg airport

Security officer Rashida Akter was withdrawn from Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong yesterday for her misbehaviour.

State Minister for Civil Aviation Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin ordered withdrawal of the woman security officer of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) on January 7 after a group of newsmen complained of misbehaviour by her.

The newsmen went to the airport to cover the inauguration of Chittagong-Jeddah direct Hajj flight.

The withdrawal letter issued by the CAAB in Dhaka reached Chittagong yesterday evening and it was handed over to Rashida immediately, said an airport official.

Witnesses said the security officer had misbehaved with not only the journalists, but also a number of renowned persons, including Sikder Medical College Hospital Director Zahidul Haque Sikder and four members of his team, on many occasions.
