Another lost project

I am a student of O-level in Maple Leaf International School. My father asked me a few days ago to calculate the ticket cost of the Magnetic Train considering the project cost to be 750 million U$D. Well I didn't know how to do that so what I did was calculated the interest per year and the cost that our honourable Minister committed for the fair which was 1Tk/Km.

750million @ 15 per cent interest = 112.5 million U$D = 6,537,500,000/- BDT Considering 10,000 passengers/day, 10000X 400X 365 = 1,460,000,000/- BDT Therefore 6,537,500,000-1,460,000,000= 5,077,500,000 BDT. So if ten thousand passengers travel per day, it only covers one sixth of the interest.

So definitely it will also be a loss project. With my little intelligence I couldn't figure out that India inspite of being such a big country is not thinking of a magnetic train where they have railway tracks connecting every part of their country and the train service is one of the most popular transport for most of the people over there. Then why are we thinking of it for a fairly short distance of 400 Km. Oh! This will just be another lost project. And that's the only conclusion that I could come up with.
