2 murdered in Separate Kushtia incidents

A man was mugged and murdered and another was killed over land dispute in separate incidents in Kushtia Thursday night.
In Mirpur upazila, muggers halted a motorbike carrying Milon Kumar Dhor, a garment shop owner, and his friend Goutam Kumar at Dakatia while they were returning to the town from the upazila around 10:00pm, said Mirpur police Officer-in-Charge Sahidul Islam.
When the miscreants, who came on foot, attacked Milon the duo cried for help, he said.
Later, Goutam fled and the miscreants snatched a handbag containing some money from Milon, he said adding that they also took away the motorbike.
Meanwhile, Wazed Ali, 70, died after a group led by one Golam Mostafa had hit him with a bamboo over a land dispute at Daulatpur upazila's Sashidharpur, said police.
