US Embassy wishes 55yr old DU admission seeker Balayet good luck

The US Embassy in Dhaka has wished 55-year-old Balayet Sheikh ahead of Dhaka University admission test.

"We are excited to see that Balayet Sheikh from Mawna in Gazipur is currently preparing for his Dhaka University entrance exam at the age of 55," read a post by the US embassy on its verified Facebook page today (May 22, 2022).

"Despite personal setbacks and going against social norms, Balayet never stopped dreaming and went on to obtain his Higher Secondary School Certificate in 2021," it said.

Balayet said his dream is to study in the Mass Communication and Journalism department of DU. On June 11, he will sit for the D unit admission test at DU.
