Dengue fever: 366 patients hospitalised in 24 hours

At least 366 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till this morning.

With the new cases, the total number of dengue patients rose to 56,496 this year.

The total number of deaths from dengue this year is 247, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Among the deaths, 150 were in Dhaka, 25 in Cox's Bazar, 32 in Chattogram, 11 in Barishal, eight in Khulna, six in Mymensingh, five in Rajshahi, two Narail and one each in Narsingdi, Kushtia, Pabna, Bagerhat, Khagrachhari, Bogura, Madaripur and Feni.

A total of 53,954 patients have already been released, of which, 19,428 are from outside of Dhaka.

Some 1,929 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment of which 800 are from outside the capital.
