Bangladeshi students unveil jute fibre bicycle

Team JuteX, consisting of members from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, has shown off their first prototype for a jute fibre bicycle.

Through a Facebook post, the team announced the prototype has passed all the basic mechanical tests from BUET. The team hopes the new technology will help to "rejuvenate the Jute Mills of Bangladesh and it`s 25,000 workers."

Earlier Team JuteX won Hult Prize Regional Championship, Vietnam 2020 and are now in the best 30 teams around the world in Hult Prize Global Round.
