TIME TO BUY A NEW GPU FOR CHEAP

Q4 2014 is going to be a treat for people who are looking to buy a new Graphics Card. On the other hand, devastation awaits those who recently bought theirs. The reason? Well, it's just one word to describe it all really – Maxwell GPU architecture.
Nvidia released Maxwell (aka GTX 9xx Series) last month, now believe me when I say it, it's something nobody expected. Maxwell completely changed how the GPU market used to price its products. It comes with major benefits as you are getting enthusiast-degree performance for a mid-range price tag. The good side is you get more by paying less. The bad side is quite obvious—R.I.P, the resale value of your recently bought GTX780ti. It's obsolete now, bro.
The market quickly reacted to Maxwell's forthcoming. With both GPU vendors slashing their prices considerably to fit into the new price scheme.
With hopes to undermine the GTX 900 series' price-to-performance advantage, AMD has cut prices of its Radeon R9 290 and R9 290X GPUs. The Radeon R9 290 has dropped from its previous $399 price to $299, that's $100 off. Meanwhile the R9 290X dropped from $549 to $399, a drop of $150.
With the objective of clearing stock in mind, the GeForce GTX 780 and GeForce GTX 770 have dropped to $429 and $275, respectively, down from the previous $649 and $399. The flagship GTX 780Ti is down to $529 US.
This means second-hand GPU purchases are going to be the best bang for buck for quite some time. People with recently bought cards have already started panicking, we can confirm this when we see Facebook groups being flooded with users who are selling their previous generation cards. The price they are asking for them, is so ridiculously low that it's almost a giveaway. GTX 770's are selling for as low as Tk. 24,000. R9 280Xs are going for even less, around Tk. 22,000. Flagships like Radeon R9 290X are leaving their users for around Tk, 35,000. Normal mid-tier and low-range cards have also noticed a significant drop in price. With 7770's now selling for Tk. 6,000 and 550ti's going for even less.
For people on a budget, I would strongly recommend that you go second hand. Surf Facebook groups to get an idea.
People who are unwilling to go second hand should go no less than the GTX970, which of course is a brand new bargain itself, outperforming the majority of the GPU market with a price tag so low, it's not even funny.
