Faces.Places.Stories
As a photographer, I use my camera as an extension of my eye to record my life. I photograph the people I meet, the places I visit and the stories I witness as a fellow human being.
Ignoring the borders of the world, I believe we all have very similar stories to tell as humans, and I have tried to showcase that through my photographs.
While I was initially just interested in people's faces and their portraits, I later became intrigued by the space that surrounds us, and the interaction between people and place.
People's smiles, their sorrows and emotions form the ingredients of my photographs. I have been fortunate enough to encounter and photograph a variety of surroundings, from the hindu community in Chittagong celebrating Holi, to exploring the narrow lanes of Venice.
Faces.Places.Stories"- a solo photography exhibition by Ata Mohammad Adnan is currently running at the EMK Center, Dhanmondi-27, from Aug 13 till Aug 31.
