Is the Malaysian immigration process going into hands of a syndicate again?

The immigration process to Malaysia is starting again after three and a half years.

But the process is already being questioned. It is now a matter of concern whether the immigration industry is going into the hands of a syndicate once again.

The 10 agencies, which were given the responsibility of handling the immigration in 2016, allegedly laundered Tk 5,000 crores out of the country.

This time there are talks of allowing 25 agents in the same manner.

The Daily Star Senior Reporter Porimol Palma discusses the controversy about the Malaysia immigration process with Debjani Shyama in Straight From Star Newsroom.
