Pabna farmers turn to vegetable farming for high profits
Farmers in Pabna are becoming interested in vegetable farming, mainly because of its relatively good profit margin.
Md Nasir Uddin, a farmer from Gorgori village of Ishwardi upazila, started cultivating vegetables in his yard a few years ago as a hobby. Now he is farming vegetables commercially on three bighas of land. By selling eggplants, cauliflowers and other winter crops, he earned Tk 50,000 to Tk 80,000 this year.
