Meat market that sits once a year
Every Eid-ul-Azha, poor people collect meat from those who can afford to make animal sacrifices.
However, they do not consume all the meat they collect. Some meat are sold at an open market that sits only on this day. The market sees a large number of customers.
Here, some sell meat at per kg rate, while some others, per sack full of meat, and that too at reasonably low prices.
Both the buyers and sellers come from low-income section of the society. While some sell the meat to earn some money to feed their families, some buy this meat since they could neither afford to make animal sacrifices nor do they want to seek charity.
