Rani Hamid gets lifetime achievement award

The Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) yesterday felicitated 22 female sports personalities who brought laurel for the country at both local and international stage since the Independence of Bangladesh.

The programme, styled 'Fair and Lovely Foundation Indefatigable Women', was held at the National Sports Council (NSC) Tower Auditorium yesterday afternoon.

21 women athletes from different sports disciplines were handed crests while Women International Master Rani Hamid was honoured with Life Time Achievement Award for her pioneering role in women's sports.

Cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor was present as the chief guest of the programme where high-ups of BSPA and other sports bodies and sports journalists were also present.
