Ex-captain Nakib suffers cardiac arrest

Former national football team captain Imtiaz Ahmed Nakib was admitted to a city hospital after suffering cardiac arrest on Sunday evening.

The former national striker felt pain in his chest during a football match among former footballers at the Sonali Otit Club premise in the afternoon and was subsequently rushed to the hospital. Two rings were placed in his heart after he underwent an angiogram. His family, friends and other former footballers seek prayers from all for Nakib's immediate recovery.
