South Africa captain Faf du Plessis and Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed shared an unwanted world-record during the first Test between their teams at Centurion today.

Both captains bagged pair – getting out for naught in both innings, which happened for the first time in Test cricket.

South Africa ran out winners by six wickets but the world record is also making headlines for their shared record. Never before has two captains gotten out for a duck in each of their individual innings. Du Plessis was the last South Africa batsman to fall today during Proteas’ chase of 149 for victory to complete the record. With Virat Kohli also making a duck for India against Australia at the MCG, Friday (December 28), it was clearly not a day to be a Test captain.
