Tamim set to travel to England for treatment
Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal is set to travel to England on July 25 for treatment as the left-handed opening batsman has been experiencing severe stomach pain recently.
Tamim confirmed to The Daily Star that he will travel to London on July 25 to undergo treatment of his troubled stomach. It was learned that Tamim had taken the decision following a video call with physicians based in London today.
The 31-year-old last week revealed the sickness and despite several check-ups in Dhaka the reason behind the stomach pain remained unknown. "I had severe stomach ache thrice in last one month but the doctors couldn't detect the reason behind that. The pain is so severe that I cannot even stand straight. Doctors have asked me to get admitted to the hospital but that's also not possible due to the Covid-19 situation. They have suggested me a few more tests like endoscopy and colonoscopy," Tamim told the media previously.
Tamim who will travel alone to London was also considering Thailand or Singapore but eventually finalized travelling to London.
