Shakib joins national camp for first time since returning from India

Bangladesh's premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan joined the national camp along with ace paceman Mustafizur Rahman for the Tigers' upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka today for the first time since returning from India earlier this month.
Shakib and Mustafizur, returned to the country on May 6 via a chartered flight following the suspension of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Both Shakib and Mustafizur have been in quarantine at different hotels in the capital and have returned negative in multiple Covid-19 tests since their return. Shakib joined the ongoing national camp at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur for the first time today since his return.
Heavy rainfall however prevented the players from doing any outdoor activities for a sufficient amount of time. Shakib and others took the field to warm up with a football session but players soon had to seek shelter inside the dressing room. With Sher-e-Bangla national stadium currently washed out, there was little chance of outdoor activities even as the first practice session following Eid vacation is scheduled to go on till 7:30 pm involving both indoor and outdoor activities.
