Santokie's massive wide and no-ball
The opening match of the BBPL between Chattogram Challengers and Sylhet Thunders was marked by the opening over of Krishmar Santokie who really challenged the idea of what can be considered big no balls and wide deliveries. One would not generally expect such big wides and no-balls in professional cricket.
The Sylhet bowler was bowling to Chattogram's Avishka Fernando and the bowler who hails from West Indies came from over the wicket and bowled a wide that exceeded the white line down the right-handed batsman's leg side. It would have gone for four if wicketkeeper Mohammad Mithun had not managed to dive wide to his left to take it. If with his slinging action, Santokie had failed to direct that one properly, one would be hard-pressed to explain the no-ball that followed.
It turned heads on social media, one reporter from The Guradian captioning a footage of the no ball with 'Yeah, you're close to the line there mate' on twitter. On the wide ball he wrote: "This was the ball before that very unfortunate massive no-ball. An unfortunate massive wide."

Sylhet captain Mosaddek Hossain later said in a press conference that he did not want to comment on the no-ball as he had not paid attention to those deliveries which happened in just the second over of Chattogram's chase.
Santokie's no-ball was bigger in fact then the infamous Mohammad Amir no-ball back in 2010 at Lord's, one that led to him being banned for spot-fixing for five years.
With his big margin of errors Santokie, who played 12 T20Is for the West Indies, caused the wrong kind of eyebrow-raising right at the start of the new BPL season.
