Mosharraf's father dies from coronavirus

Mosharraf Hossain Rubel

Former national cricketer Mosharraf Hossain's father Mohiuddin Khondokar, who was infected by coronavirus, breathed his last yesterday night at the age of 75.

Mohiuddin was admitted at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka from August 3 and had been receiving treatment for coronavirus. Mosharraf also had tested positive for the virus but the cricketer had recovered successfully.

The 38-year-old left arm spinner who played five ODIs for Bangladesh was diagnosed with brain tumour last year and got cured after four months of intense treatment in Singapore. Mosharraf was gearing to make a comeback to the domestic circuit since recovering from brain tumour until the cricketer tested positive.
