Injured Mahmud headed back home
Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud left for Dhaka today after the young pacer failed to regain fitness ahead of the Tigers' three-match T20I series, confirmed the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) through a media release today.
Mahmud suffered from a stiff back following the Tigers' first ODI in Dunedin and has not been able to train or play any game since then.
"Mahmud left for Dhaka today along with ODI Captain Tamim Iqbal. He will continue his recovery under the supervision of the BCB Medical Team," read the media release.
After being whitewashed in the three-match ODI series, the Tigers will play the first of their three T20Is at the Seddon Park in Hamilton tomorrow.
