Bangladesh Under 23 team defeated Nepal by 44 runs today at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur and confirmed their spot in the final of the T20 cricket event in the ongoing 13th edition of the South Asian Games.
After being asked to bat first, Bangladesh posted 155 for six, courtesy of an unbeaten 60-ball 75 from skipper Nazmul Hossain. Bangladesh were however reeling at one stage of the game, losing four for just 59 runs in 10.2 overs. After that Nazmul and allrounder Afif Hossain revived the innings through a 94-run fifth wicket stand as Bangladesh posted a modest total.
Following the exchange, it was a disciplined bowling display from Bangladesh as they restricted the hosts to 111 for nine.
Bangladesh will play the final against Sri Lanka on December 9.
