Bashar tests positive for coronavirus

Bangladesh national team selector Habibul Bashar has tested positive for coronavirus.

"I took the test as I have been suffering from fever for the past two days. I got the report in the evening today [Wednesday]. It was positive," said Bashar to The Daily Star yesterday.

Other than having a fever, the former national skipper has no other major symptoms. He is currently isolating himself at his own residence.

Bangladesh's cricket has been hit hard by the coronavirus in the past few days. All rounder Mahmudullah Riyad missed out on playing in the PSL playoffs after testing Covid-19 positive earlier this week. After Mahmudullah, Test skipper Mominul Haque also tested positive for the virus.
