Afridi completes a century of ducks
Shahid Afridi's aggressive batting can bring disaster for any side in world cricket but his hit and miss style often sees him get out cheaply. This style also led to him completing a century of ducks today during the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match between Dhaka Platoon and Rajshahi Royals.
Afridi was removed first ball by Ravi Bopara as the all-rounder completed his hundredth duck in competitive cricket. In international cricket, Afridi has scored 44 ducks with 30 of those ducks coming in ODIs. In the ODI format, only Sanath Jayasuriya has gotten out for more ducks with 34 beside his name.
In his career, he has fallen for a duck six times in Tests. In T20s, that number stands at eight. The rest of the 56 zeroes came in domestic first-class, List A and T20 cricket. The BPL return did not start on a positive note for the former Pakistan all-rounder, but if anything is to be expected from him, it is the unexpected. In last edition's BPL, his side Comilla Victorians clinched the title and there is more to come from him with his side Dhaka Platoon one of the tournament favourites.
