The Queen's Gambit

The Queen's Gambit is a drama series, created by Scott Frank and Allan Scott, directed by Frank himself, produced by Marcus Loges and Mick Aniceto under the banners of Flitcraft Ltd and Wonderful Films, and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Bill Camp and Moses Ingram, among others. The plot, which is based on the eponymous novel by Walter Tevis, follows the life of an orphaned chess prodigy as she strives to become the greatest chess player anyone has ever seen. The show was released on October 23, 2020 on Netflix.

The Good Lord Bird

The Good Lord Bird is a drama series, based on the eponymous novel by James McBride. It follows the life of an enslaved boy who is a part of a group of abolitionist soldiers participating in the raid of 1859 which eventually instigated the American Civil War. The show was created by Ethan Hawke and Mark Richard, distributed by Showtime Networks, produced under the banners of Under The Influence, Mark 924 Entertainment and Blumhouse Television, and stars Hawke himself, Daveed Diggs and Wyatt Russell, among others. It was aired on October 4, 2020 on Showtime.

Qurbaan Hua

Qurbaan Hua is a Hindi drama series, released on 25 February 2020 on Zee TV. It was created and produced by Sonali Jaffer and Amir Jaffer under the banner of Full House Media, written by Sameer Garud, Shilpa Jathar, Gaurav Sharma and Zaheer Shaikh, directed by Tabrez Khan, and stars Karan Jotwani, Pratibha Ranta and Sonali Nikam, among others. The story follows the lives of Neel and Chahat who are set on destroying each other's families, but fate has a surprise in store.
