U2 had to cancel a show in Berlin after performing only five songs on the 1st of September. U2 frontman Bono lost his voice, during their Berlin set. They were forced to cancel the show after Bono was rendered unable to perform. Afterwards, Bono released a statement where he said, “So happy and relieved that anything serious has been ruled out. My relief is tempered by the knowledge that the Berlin audience were so inconvenienced. There was an amazing atmosphere in the house, it was going to be one of those unforgettable nights but not for this reason.” Bono also announced that they would do another show in Berlin, on November 13 to make up for the cancellation. U2 also released a statement after the show. They said that Bono was able to sing perfectly before the show, and that they did not know the reason for his loss of voice. They also reported that Bono is currently seeking medical advice.
