Katy Perry admits to being a victim of suicidal thoughts

Katy Perry's new album Witness has been released recently and to promote it, she has been live streaming herself on Youtube at meetings and yoga classes. She also appeared on Viceland's The Therapist to meet with Siri Sat Nam Singh, a licensed therapist. On the show, she discussed about having suicidal thoughts earlier and even wrote a song in reference to that, By the Grace of God, back in 2013. “I feel ashamed that I would have those thoughts, I feel that low and that depressed,” she said in the live-streamed therapy session. She also added that By the Grace of God was also inspired by her break up with her ex husband, Russell Brand. “That song is evident of how tough it really was at a certain point. I asked myself if I want to endure and if I should continue living,” Perry told Billboard in 2013. Katy Perry also mentioned the pressures of leading a celebrity life where people are constantly discussing her looks, lifestyle, etc. and even judging her for it. She claims that sometimes she feels so pressured to be like someone else that she doesn't even feel like herself anymore.
