Bollywood star Deepika Padukone recently revealed that she had at one point suffered from depression, saying that battling depression has made her a much more sensitive person.
On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, which is observed on October 10 every year, Padukone launched her foundation 'Live Love and Laugh' in Mumbai. Drawing from her own experiences, the 'Piku' star, said that one needs to pay attention to the early signs of depression.
She also said, “I don't know about nice but I am definitely a sensitive person and battling depression has made me more sensitive." Present on the occasion was also Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who urged Deepika and her foundation to engage and collaborate with them to find effective solutions to the mental health issues of the farmers in the Vidarbha region.
