Types of people you find at a meeting
If you're not interested in meetings, perhaps you would be more willing to discover the various people who show up (or at times don't) at the meeting.
THE EARLY BIRDS
If the meeting is at 4, they are most likely to show up at noon. They are highly proactive in life and probably have a schedule for everything they do. Most of them set out for the meeting earlier than needed because the streets can be very unpredictable. Their punctuality is praiseworthy. The higher-ups often point them out as examples to the other meeting attendees who tend to show up late at almost every meeting.
THE 'MIA' ONES
You can't really find them at the meeting because they don't usually show up. They are, however, pretty skilled at coming up with preposterous excuses. Some of them are lazy, while others just don't care. The other people at the meeting don't even expect them to show up and hence, they go on to start the meeting without them. They manage to shock everyone else at the meeting every once in a while when they do decide to show up.
THE LATE ONES
Comparatively more sincere than their MIA counterparts since they at least care to show up yet their excuses for the delays are somewhat similar to the ones made by their absent colleagues, traffic jam being one of the most common excuses deployed. Being late once in a while is somewhat acceptable, but the people of this particular category are late at almost every meeting. It can be easily assumed that they have poor time management skills and are quite reluctant about their responsibilities.
THE DISTRACTED ONES
They are physically present at every meeting but their concentration is always elsewhere. You will often find them gazing at their mobile phones while the meeting is in progress. If unable to do so, they will probably find other means of distraction such as a pen or perhaps the view outside the window.
THE ATTENTION SEEKER
Yes, this type of people will be there to haunt you even in your professional lives as well. They will do anything they can to grab the attention of others. Some try to be funny, some try to pretend they know better than everyone else while others just go on to behave in an obsequious manner with their higher ups. At the end of the day, they might end up grabbing everyone's attention, but at what cost?
THE TIRED ONES
They will try their level best to pay attention to the proceedings of the meeting but at the end of the day, their frequent yawning and tired eyes will give away their secret. Perhaps they were up all night preparing themselves for the meeting or perhaps they are just bored. At times, you might even feel sorry for them.
