South Breeze School celebrates 25th Anniversary of The Daily Star
South Breeze School celebrated the 25th anniversary of The Daily Star by holding an intra-school debate tournament. The debaters of Class IX spoke about the motion regarding whether or not media outlets should be allowed to remain in affiliation with religious and political parties. The spectators watched the intellectual argument intently, adding in their own nods of agreement and disapproval.
South Breeze School also held an essay competition for Classes VII and VIII. The students emulated the short story competition recently held by The Daily Star. Students wrote stories of scenarios both real and imagined, through the eyes of journalists and reporters. The plots of the essays ranged from that of war torn countries to alien invasions on our planet – an out of the world experience indeed.
