Satkhira zonal champs

Satkhira emerged zonal champions in the Citycell Women's National Football Championship when they crushed neighbours Khulna 4-0 in the Buriganga (Dhaka) zone final at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday.
Sabina put Satkhira ahead after 17 minutes while Mukta, Salma and Rikta added second half goals in the one-sided match.
Both the teams join six others -- Jessore, Rajshahi, VDP, Narayanganj, Ansars and Rangamati -- in the final round which kicks off in Dhaka on February 18.
Bangladesh Olympic Association vice-president Mizanur Rahman Manu distributed trophies after the final. Bangladesh Football Federation vice-president Manzoor Hossain Malu, women's football committee chairman Sirajul Islam Bachchu and other officials were also present.
