Bangladesh reaffirms commitment to peace, sustainability at UN forum in Portugal

Foreign Adviser Touhid Hossain reiterated Bangladesh's dedication to peace, humanity, and sustainability, while addressing the 10th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in Cascais, Portugal, yesterday.
He underscored the country's alignment with Nobel Laureate Prof Muhammad Yunus's "Three Zeros" roadmap, which advocates for achieving zero carbon emissions, zero poverty, and zero unemployment.
Speaking at the Group of Friends High-Level Meeting, the adviser called for global dialogue, responsible use of artificial intelligence, and the promotion of justice, equality, and sustainability across civilizations.
He also condemned the ongoing genocide in Gaza and urged collective action to build a future of harmony and cooperation.
Themed "United in Peace: Restoring Trust, Reshaping the Future," the forum began on November 25, and will end today.
