Man killed; wife, son injured in Jashore road accident

A motorcyclist died and his wife and child were injured as a covered van hit their bike in Jashore last night.

The deceased was identified as Babu Hossain, 35, a resident of Konejpur village of Sadar upazila. The injured are Akalima Khatun, 28, and Arafat, 7.

Babu along with his wife and son was returning home on his bike after finishing work in the town when the accident took place at Nongarpur of Jashore Sadar-Magura Road, reports our local correspondent, quoting Manjurul Islam, officer-in-charge of Barobazar Highway Police Station.

The injured were sent to Jashore General Hospital. As their condition deteriorated, doctors referred them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

A case has been filed, said the OC.
