Two Rohingyas were killed in landslides due to heavy rainfall at refugee camps in Ukhiya and Teknaf in Cox's Bazar today.

The deceased were identified as Rafiq Ullah (32) of Camp-12 in Mainarghona, Ukhiya and Nur Hasina (20) of Camp-21 in Teknaf upazila, reports our Cox's Bazar correspondent.

"Rafiq was crushed to death when cutting a hill for soil. Upon receiving the news, Armed Police Battalion (APBn) members went to the spot and recovered his body," said 8 APBn Additional Superintendent of Police Khandaker Ashfaquzzaman.

Hasina was buried under a landslide in Chakmarkul Rohingya camp due to heavy rainfall. The incident took place around 10 am today.

After completing legal procedures, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their relatives, said 14 APBn Commander SP Mohammad Naimul Haque.
