5000 get free treatment

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), North West region, Rangpur yesterday arranged a free medical camp for giving treatment to poor and distressed people in Teesta basin area on Thakurganj (Satnai) High School premises in Dimla upazila.

Around five thousand people from Thakurganj, Satnai, Balapara, Dangapara Tunirhat, Khagarhat and other surrounding villages availed the opportunity to get treatment and medicine free of cost.

Organisers said the medical camp was initiated on occasion of upgrading of Bangladesh from LDC status to developing country as announced by United Nations (UN) on March 17.
