Stocks return to red

The prices of the most shares on the country's premier bourse plunged on Tuesday.

DGEN, the benchmark General Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed 19 points to reach 3,963 points at the end of the day's trading.

Of the issues traded, 158 declined, 92 advanced and 21 remained unchanged.

A total of 73,666 trades were executed with Tk 202 crore changing hands.

On Monday, trading at the country's premier bourse ended at 3,982 points gaining 133 points.
