Star Cement goes into operation

Star Cement Industries Ltd, a private sector company, went into formal commercial operation in Chittagong yesterday. Agrani Bank Managing Director ASM Emdadul Haq inaugurated the operation in the factory premises at Dangarchan.

The factory with an annual production capacity of three lakh metric tons of cement is set up on 10.8 acres of land at Dangarchar on the bank of the Karnaphuli

The factory was constructed with the technical assistance of China and Germany and financial assistance of Agrani Bank.
