Kamran to get AL backing in Sylhet mayoral polls: Muhith

Sylhet city Mayor Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran would be the Awami League candidate again in the next mayoral polls, said Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Friday night.
Muhith, also an AL lawmaker of Sylhet sadar, was speaking at a party meeting in the city's Gulshan Centre.
He said the schedule for elections to five city corporations, including Sylhet, would be announced in a week. So, the party people should get prepared soon for all out campaign.
AL central Organising Secretary (Sylhet division) Misbah Uddin Siraj, among others, addressed the meeting with the city AL President and Mayor Badar Uddin in the chair.
