JON KABIR LIVING IN THE MOMENT

JON KABIR

Usually while interviewing the celebrities, I find them choosing their words carefully in order to discover what he/she may be getting into. Not only that but also they bag up a collection of their attire before a photo shoot. But for the first time, STAR SHOWBIZ brings you a story of one, popularly known as Jon Kabir, exactly opposite to what defines a celebrity, who hates giving autographs, unwillingly draws into photographs, loves being a simple person yet again he is one, we consider him as a musician, a rock star, a celebrity!

JON KABIR Tell us something about INDALO and when is the album coming out?
Jon: INDALO is basically a rock band formed in February 2012 with members Jon Kabir (Guitar & vocals), Bart Nandit Areng (Bass), Zubair (Guitar & Vocals), & Dio Haque (Drums).
Nobody knows, when exactly it'll be out! Not even us! We're not making music for an album; we're just making music. When it'll be enough, it'll be out!
What got you started?
Jon: I have always loved music and specially listening to it. I was more into the genre of metal but if you ask me about what got me started then it has to be PEARL JAM. I was always a fan of PEARL JAM, but after listening to their 10th album, it made me realize that I can do it.
How does it feel to be a celebrity?
Jon: Celebrity? Haha..I hate having such a feeling now a days, everything has changed so much that it feels like you are no more a celebrity, you are among MONKIES.
How does that give you a monkey like feeling?
Jon: Basically, these days I don't feel like performing in concerts anymore. Trust me, that's because there are more posers than listeners. You'll see a sea of guys, specially the ones whose about to play next and the rest is waiting only for some entertainment but music.
You were found crowd surfing in the previous 'ROCKNATION,' do you usually do that in concerts?
Jon: Crowd surfing? I don't even remember myself doing that. When I'm on stage, I honestly don't know who I am, I just let the music take over me and then its only two of us.
Why do you need girls in your concerts?
Jon: The view is awesome when the ratio of girls and boys are same at a show. Also, since INDALO is playing, the reason is more than enough for the girls to consider going to the concerts just like the golden times.
JON KABIRWhat's your future plans with INDALO?
Jon: Live for the moment but, future plans with INDALO, is to have more fun and to make more songs. With INDALO, the fun is endless!
How does it feel to set examples for others as an artist?
Jon: I'm not set out to do so but when people say I influenced them musically, it feels nice.
