Thai Airways opens new office in Dhaka

Thai Airways inaugurated its new office in Dhaka today on the first floor of Taj Marriott, 25 Gulshan Avenue.

The office aims to enhance customer service and improve accessibility for passengers in Bangladesh, the airline said in a press release.

Makawadee Sumitmor, Thailand's ambassador to Bangladesh, Wit Kitchathorn, vice president of sales at Thai Airways, and Narintorn Sukkaseam, team lead for western, Middle East and Bangladesh, attended the ceremony.

Ahmed Yusuf Walid, managing director of Air Galaxy Limited, the passenger general sales agent (GSA) for Thai Airways, hosted the event.

The inauguration highlighted the airline's over 50-year-long partnership with Bangladesh. Thai Airways also has branch offices in Chattogram and Sylhet, alongside its new Dhaka office.

"As Thailand's flag carrier, Thai Airways has played a pivotal role in fostering bilateral trade and strengthening people-to-people connections between Bangladesh and Thailand. I am confident that this new office will offer greater comfort and convenience to Thai Airways' passengers," Ambassador Sumitmor said.

Wit Kitchathorn reaffirmed the airline's commitment to Bangladesh, saying, "Thai Airways remains dedicated to delivering world-class service and improving connectivity for Bangladeshi travelers, reinforcing our position as one of the region's leading airlines."

Ahmed Yusuf Walid said the significance of the new office, adding, "The Dhaka town office reflects Thai Airways' commitment to its operations in Bangladesh and its mission to offer exceptional travel experiences worldwide."

Thai Airways operates two daily flights on the Dhaka-Bangkok route.
