Release Shams: Journos, activists form human chain in Savar

Journalists and social activists of Savar, Ashulia and Dhamrai areas today demanded immediate release of Prothom Alo journalist Shamsuzzaman Shams, who was arrested early Wednesday after being sued in a Digital Security Act case.

The protesters formed a human chain in front of the National Martyrs' Memorial, also demanding withdrawal of the cases filed against Shams and the editor of Prothom Alo over a report published on Independence Day.
